The enzyme treatment keeps working after the technician leaves. It breaks down the odor-causing uric acid and bacteria over time, and that process can take up to 14 days to fully finish. That's why the pet treatment guarantee window is 14 days rather than the 7-day window on standard cleaning.
What's covered by the 14-day odor guarantee?
Pet odor coming from the carpet and pad that we treated. If the smell returns within 14 days in an area we treated, we come back and re-treat it at no charge. The goal is simple: the odor is gone, or we keep working on it.
What isn't covered?
Odor that has soaked beyond what cleaning can reach, meaning into the subfloor, walls, baseboards, or ductwork, is outside what surface and pad treatment can fix. Your technician will tell you upfront during the walkthrough if they think the contamination has gone that deep, so there are no surprises.
How much does pet odor removal cost?
It depends on how many areas are affected and how deeply the urine has penetrated, so there's no flat national price. Your technician inspects the situation during the walkthrough and gives you a firm price in writing before any work begins. That price doesn't change once you approve it.
How do I request a re-treat?
Call 1-800-SAFE-DRY (1-800-723-3379) within 14 days of your pet treatment, or use the contact form. Tell us which area still has odor and we'll schedule a time to come back out.
Is it safe for pets and kids during the guarantee period?
Yes. The enzyme solutions are non-toxic and free of harsh chemicals. Your pets and family can use the treated areas normally while the enzymes finish working over those first couple of days.
